Effectiveness

How Edluar Affects PatientsThis drug affects the central nervous system and may cause drowsiness, decreased alertness, and other changes to psychomotor function. Because of this, it is recommended that the initial dose of zolpidem is 5mg for women and 5 or 10mg for men, taken just before bedtime with at least 7-8 hours remaining before waking. Memory impairment has been observed after taking doses of 10 or 20mg, resulting in a condition called anterograde amnesia. It is not recommended to take part in activities that require full mental alertness or motor coordination, such as driving or operating machinery, after taking zol
How Edluar works in the bodyZolpidem is a drug that helps induce sleep. It interacts with a GABA-BZ receptor complex in the brain and has similar effects to benzodiazepines. Unlike benzodiazepines, which act on all types of the GABA receptor, zolpidem specifically binds to the alpha 1, 2, and 3 subunits. This binding primarily occurs in the Lamina IV of the brain, and helps preserve deep sleep while limiting muscle relaxation and anticonvulsant activity.
