Effectiveness

How Darunavir Affects PatientsDarunavir is a drug used to treat HIV infection. Taken with ritonavir, it can reduce the amount of virus in the body and increase the number of CD4 cells, which helps lower the risk of serious illness.
How Darunavir works in the bodyDarunavir is a medication used to treat HIV infections. It works by attaching to the HIV-1 protease enzyme, which is necessary for the virus to replicate. By blocking the enzyme, darunavir stops the virus from forming mature particles and spreading the infection. Darunavir is able to adapt to changes in shape of the protease enzyme, making it more effective than other treatments.

Darunavir for HIV
I experience a lot of pain in various bones throughout my body. Sometimes it's my legs, sometimes my wrists and hands. I also have a rash that is slowly spreading and is sore all over my back, shoulders, chest, and face. I get palpitations and my skin feels strange. It can burn or feel like I'm in a draft even though I'm not. My brain feels like it's suffocating at times. I know that the Prizista 800mg daily can cause skin infections that are life-threatening. Help!
