How Cortenema Affects Patients
Hydrocortisone works by attaching to a special receptor which helps stop inflammation in the body. It is generally a safe drug but should be stopped if you experience any irritation or sensitivity.
How Cortenema works in the body
Corticosteroids reduce inflammation by interfering with the body's natural inflammatory response. They block proteins that cause inflammation, and instead promote proteins that reduce inflammation. Lower doses of corticosteroids can reduce inflammation, while higher doses weaken the immune system. Prolonged use of high doses of corticosteroids can also increase sodium levels and decrease potassium levels.
When to interrupt dosage
The suggested amount of Cortenema is contingent upon the diagnosed state, including Ophthalmia, Sympathetic, Drug Allergy and Sarcoidosis. The dosage fluctuates depending on the approach of delivery (e.g. Topical or Auricular (otic)) featured in the table beneath.
