How Chemet Affects Patients
Succimer is an oral medication that helps the body get rid of lead. It binds to the lead in the body and makes it easier for it to be passed through urine. Succimer should not be taken as a preventative measure for lead poisoning, and the source of lead exposure should always be identified and removed.
How Chemet works in the body
Succimer binds to heavy metals, like lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic, in your blood. It then forms a water-soluble complex that can be easily removed from the body through the kidneys.
When to interrupt dosage
The quantity of Chemet is conditional upon the perceived state, such as Arsenic Poisoning, Poisoning, Lead and lead. The amount of dosage fluctuates as per the mode of delivery (e.g. Capsule - Oral or Injection, powder, lyophilized, for solution) presented in the table beneath.

Chemet Toxicity & Overdose Risk
The toxic dose of succimer in mice has been found to be over 5011 mg/kg. High doses in rats and mice have caused loss of balance, seizures, difficulty breathing, and sometimes death. There have been no reports of human overdosing on succimer, but limited data suggests it can be removed from the blood through dialysis.
