How Soolantra Affects Patients
Ivermectin is a medicine used to treat parasite infections. It is made up of a group of five-ringed molecules derived from a type of bacteria found in soil. Avermectins, the group that Ivermectin belongs to, are effective against many parasites and can be used to treat a range of different types of infection.
How Soolantra works in the body
Ivermectin works by targeting the nerve and muscle cells of parasites, causing them to become paralyzed and eventually die. It also disrupts the neurotransmitter GABA, which helps regulate the central nervous system. Additionally, Ivermectin can prevent the development of parasites in their mother's womb, as well as stop them from being released from the mother's body.
