Elimax Green Lotion vs Walgreens Shampoo for Head Lice
What You Need to Know Before You Apply
What is the purpose of this trial?
This trial compares the effectiveness and safety of Elimax Green Lotion, Emogreen, and Walgreens Lice Killing Shampoo for treating head lice. Participants must have a confirmed head lice infestation with at least five live lice or nits visible on their scalp or hair. The trial will assess the effectiveness of each treatment and record any skin or eye irritation or side effects. Ideal candidates are healthy individuals who agree to follow specific hair care instructions and attend follow-ups. As an unphased trial, this study provides participants the chance to contribute to valuable research on effective head lice treatments.
Will I have to stop taking my current medications?
The trial requires that you do not use any head lice treatments or topical medications on your hair or scalp for 14 days before the screening visit. Additionally, you cannot use any systemic or topical drugs that might interfere with the study results, as determined by the study staff.
Is there any evidence suggesting that this trial's treatments are likely to be safe?
Research has shown that Elimax Green Lotion is safe for most people. One study found no side effects from using this treatment, indicating it is generally well-tolerated.
Walgreens Lice Killing Shampoo, a common over-the-counter product, is usually safe to use. However, like many shampoos, it may cause mild skin or eye irritation in some individuals.
Both treatments seem safe for most people, but it's important to inform the trial team of any reactions.12345Why are researchers excited about this trial's treatments?
Elimax Green Lotion is unique because it contains Emogreen, an innovative ingredient that sets it apart from traditional lice treatments like over-the-counter shampoos. While most lice treatments rely on chemical pesticides to kill lice, Emogreen offers a potentially gentler, more natural approach. Researchers are excited about Elimax Green Lotion because it promises to be effective without the harsh chemicals, making it a potentially safer option for children and those with sensitive skin.
What evidence suggests that this trial's treatments could be effective for head lice?
This trial will compare the effectiveness of Elimax Green Lotion with Emogreen and Walgreens Lice Killing Shampoo for treating head lice. Studies have shown that Elimax Green Lotion with Emogreen effectively suffocates head lice, preventing them from breeding and spreading. Lab tests have demonstrated its ability to eliminate lice effectively. Meanwhile, Walgreens Lice Killing Shampoo, another treatment option in this trial, is a well-known treatment that kills lice on contact. Both treatments aim to clear lice from the scalp, but Elimax Green Lotion may offer an alternative by using a different method to combat the infestation.12678
