How Rybix Odt Affects PatientsTramadol is used to reduce pain and fever. It works by binding to mu-opioid receptors in the brain and also by preventing the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin. Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, constipation, sweating, and itching. It can cause respiratory depression, suppression of the cough reflex, pinpoint pupils, seizures, and serotonin syndrome. Tramadol can also reduce motility in the gastrointestinal tract, cause hormonal changes, lead to hyponatremia, and cause severe hypotension. It can also cause QTc-interval prolongation
