ADEPT Trial Summary

This trial will test if telehealth therapy can help adults with IBD manage their disability and improve quality of care.

Who is the study for?
Adults over 18 with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis and moderate-to-severe disability can join this trial. They must be willing to do an online survey, speak English, and not have seen a mental health specialist in the last 3 months. What is being tested?
The study is testing if cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) delivered through telehealth by licensed psychologists helps people with IBD better than usual care does. Participants are randomly chosen to receive either the CBT telehealth intervention or continue their regular treatment.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
