Trial Summary

What is the purpose of this trial?

This study will be a single-site, two-arm randomized controlled trial conducted among Spanish-speaking chronic pain patients. Chronic pain patients will be randomized by a computer-generated randomization schedule with simple random allocation (1:1) to either One MORE or a wait-list control condition (WLC). One MORE will be delivered individually either in-person or via a HIPAA compliant virtual meeting platform.

Eligibility Criteria

This trial is for Spanish-speaking individuals experiencing chronic pain. Participants will be chosen randomly to either receive the One MORE program or be placed on a wait-list control group. The study requires participants to have consistent access to in-person meetings or a secure virtual platform.

Inclusion Criteria

I speak Spanish.
Willingness to participate in study interventions and assessments.
I have been diagnosed with a long-term pain condition.

Exclusion Criteria

Presence of clinically unstable illness judged to interfere with treatment or study procedures
I do not speak Spanish.
Psychotic episode within the last 12 months as deemed by the corresponding subsection of the MINI

Timeline

Screening

Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial

Treatment

Participants receive the One MORE intervention individually either in-person or via a HIPAA compliant virtual meeting platform

6 weeks
2 visits (in-person or virtual)

Follow-up

Participants are monitored for changes in anxiety, pain, and well-being after treatment
