Study Summary

This trial is testing a new radiation therapy treatment for pancreatic or periampullary cancer that has come back or not responded to other treatments.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults with pancreatic or periampullary adenocarcinoma tumors smaller than 8 cm, who have tried chemotherapy but not radiation. They must be treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital, have a life expectancy over 3 months, and be in good enough health to undergo the therapy.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing whether stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) can effectively treat recurrent or residual pancreatic or periampullary adenocarcinoma when standard treatments haven't included radiation.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Potential side effects of SBRT may include fatigue, skin reactions at the treatment site, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and changes in bowel habits due to the high doses of targeted radiation.
