SAN FRANCISCO, June 2, 2023 — Power, a patient-friendly platform designed to improve access to clinical trial studies, proudly announces its partnership with CancerX, a public-private initiative championed by the White House to rapidly advance cancer innovation. CancerX unites leading organizations, including Moffitt Cancer Center, Digital Medicine Society (DiMe), and now Power, in unleashing the full potential of digital innovation in the fight against cancer. CancerX was announced by U.S. President Joe Biden in February 2023 as part of The White House’s reignited national Cancer Moonshot initiative. Power is a founding member of CancerX alongside other notable organizations such as American Cancer Society, AstraZeneca, MD Anderson, Genentech, Flatiron Health, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Power's unwavering mission is to modernize clinical trial access, ensuring that groundbreaking therapeutic options are within reach for all patients, regardless of their background or geographical location. By joining CancerX, Power strengthens its commitment to diversity and inclusion in clinical trials, tackling the historical barriers that have hindered participation, particularly for underrepresented populations.

"We are absolutely thrilled to forge this partnership with CancerX and its esteemed collaborators to transform the landscape of cancer research and treatment," said Brandon Li, Co-founder of Power. "Our platform is dedicated to breaking down the barriers that have limited patient access to clinical trials, democratizing participation for all. Together, we will foster equitable, diverse, and impactful studies that benefit patients in need."

CancerX's collaborative approach perfectly aligns with Power's patient-centric philosophy. Power's open-access platform directly connects patients with research teams, empowering medical research and bridging the patient recruitment gap. With its vast repository of over 30,000 clinical trials and 100,000 researchers covering a wide range of medical conditions, Power enables patients and providers to navigate the clinical trial system with ease and effectiveness.

"Multi-stakeholder collaboration is critical to harness the potential of digital innovation in the fight against cancer, and we're honored to partner with Power to achieve the ambitious goals of CancerX," said Smit Patel, Associate Program Director at DiMe. "Through this impressive collaboration, we will establish best practices, build capacity, and demonstrate the impact of innovation on the life of every person on a cancer journey.”

Santosh Mohan, Vice President, Digital at Moffitt Cancer Center, shared: “Beating cancer demands bold innovation and deliberate collaboration. CancerX is creating a dynamic ecosystem where ideas can flourish, expertise and resources can be shared, and innovative solutions can be rapidly developed and equitably deployed in the fight against cancer. Together, we will advance the frontiers of cancer research and treatment through digital innovation, while striving to reduce the incidence and burden of cancer for all people.”
