Effectiveness

How Nicoderm Cq Affects PatientsNicotine is the main ingredient in tobacco products, and it binds to certain receptors in the body. It has two effects: it stimulates certain areas of the brain and is also a rewarding substance. When nicotine is injected, over a dozen different substances, including hormones and neurotransmitters, are released. Nicotine is very addictive, and it can lead to an increased heart rate, constricted blood vessels, and higher blood pressure. Nicotine inhalers and patches are used to help people quit smoking. Nicotine is classified as a stimulant.
How Nicoderm Cq works in the bodyNicotine is a stimulant drug that interacts with special receptors in the brain and body. In the brain, nicotine binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors on dopaminergic neurons in the cortico-limbic pathways. This causes a chain reaction that results in the release of dopamine, which is responsible for the euphoric and addictive properties of nicotine. In the body, nicotine binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors on chromaffin cells in the adrenal medulla. This triggers a chain reaction that releases epinephrine, which causes an increase in blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar.

Nicoderm Cq for Stop Smoking
I was a two-pack-a-day smoker for 30 years, and nicoderm cq finally helped me quit. If I had known it would be this easy, I would have stopped sooner!

Nicoderm Cq for Stop Smoking
The patch, in conjunction with Wellbutrin, has been very effective for me. I don't really get cravings as long as there are no smokers around me, and even when there are smokers around, it's more the behavioral issues that I have to work on.

Nicoderm Cq for Stop Smoking
I'm on day six of this treatment and, while I haven't had any cravings, I've developed a rash in the five different places where I put the patch. It's itchy and pretty uncomfortable. This has never happened to me before with this product; usually the patches are more like bandaids.

Nicoderm Cq for Stop Smoking
I'm on day five of the patch now, and I've had very few cravings. The occasional pains I do feel are more than worth it compared to what smoking has done to my loved ones.

Nicoderm Cq for Stop Smoking
I found this to be most effective on my buttocks, rather than my arms. It also stopped any deep cravings I had for cigarettes, though I still got light and quick cravings which went away quickly.
