How Entocort Ec works in the bodyCorticosteroids reduce inflammation by preventing blood vessels from widening and restricting the movement of white blood cells. These drugs also affect gene expression, leading to anti-inflammatory proteins like interleukin-10. Low doses of corticosteroids work to reduce inflammation, while higher doses suppress the immune system. Long-term use of high doses of corticosteroids can raise sodium levels and decrease potassium levels in the body.

Entocort Ec Toxicity & Overdose RiskIt is uncommon to overdose on corticosteroids, but taking too much for a long period of time can lead to high levels of the hormone in the body and a decrease in the body's ability to produce its own hormones. In case of an overdose, it is recommended to reduce the dosage of corticosteroids temporarily. A 200mg dose of corticosteroids is enough to be lethal for female mice, while 400mg is enough to be lethal for male mice.
