What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

This trial aims to help medical students manage stress and improve their mental and physical health through a digital coaching platform called Arena Strive. The program includes online coaching sessions, data from wearable sensors, and a tailored curriculum designed for future healthcare workers. It seeks to equip students with resiliency and recovery skills before they start clinical rotations. Medical students at Wake Forest School of Medicine who own a smartphone and are willing to use the Arena Strive app might be a good fit for this trial. As an unphased trial, this study provides a unique opportunity for students to enhance their well-being and resilience in a supportive environment.

What prior data suggests that the Arena Strive digital coaching platform is safe for medical students?

Research has shown that Arena Strive has helped healthcare workers manage stress and pressure during challenging times, such as the pandemic. It combines coaching with data from wearable devices that track sleep and heart rate. No major safety concerns have been reported so far.

Although detailed safety data is not available, Arena Strive employs non-invasive methods like digital coaching and wearable sensors, which are generally safe and widely used for health monitoring. The coaching enhances stress management and performance, involving minimal risk.

Overall, Arena Strive appears to be a safe option based on its use in similar situations and its non-invasive approach.12345

Why are researchers excited about this trial?

Arena Strive is unique because it combines digital coaching with physiological data from wearable sensors to specifically support frontline healthcare workers. Unlike traditional stress management options like therapy or medication, Arena Strive offers a tailored curriculum of performance tools and two virtual coaching sessions with high-performance medicine coaches. Researchers are excited about this treatment because it integrates technology and personalized coaching, potentially offering a more engaging and effective way to manage stress for those in high-pressure healthcare environments.

What evidence suggests that the Arena Strive digital coaching platform is effective for reducing stress in medical students?

Research has shown that Arena Strive, a digital coaching platform under study in this trial, effectively reduces stress and burnout in healthcare workers. Studies have found that it can enhance well-being in just eight weeks by combining coaching, data from wearable devices, and performance tools. Arena Strive aids users in managing stress and energy, leading to better recovery and overall health. Designed to address the specific challenges faced by medical professionals, the platform offers proven strategies that work well in high-pressure situations. This makes it a promising tool for improving the mental and physical health of medical students.678910
