What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

This study aims to design and test a novel, personalized digital intervention-my.naviGATE-for adolescent and young adults (AYA) with cancer. my.naviGATE is a mobile app that provides personalized survivorship education, access to virtual peer navigation, and responsive participant-reported outcomes (PROs).

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

Inclusion Criteria

I am 15-24 years old and getting cancer treatment at DFCI, CNH, or RPOCH.

I am under 18 and want to improve my follow-up cancer care.

I am currently getting treatment for a new cancer diagnosis.

Exclusion Criteria

Patients unwilling to give informed consent or assent to participate

Patients with no chance of cure as identified by the AYA's physician, including patients with relapsed or refractory disease

Non-English-speaking and -reading patients

Timeline for a Trial Participant

Screening

Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial

2-4 weeks

Intervention

Participants use the my.naviGATE app for personalized survivorship education and virtual peer navigation

6 months

Baseline survey, 1 month survey, 6 month survey, virtual interview (subset)

Usual Care

Participants receive standard oncology care and complete surveys

6 months

Baseline survey, 1 month survey, 6 month survey

Follow-up

Participants are monitored for self-efficacy, HRQoL, and other outcomes post-intervention

6 months post EOT

How Is the Trial Designed?

Group I: my.naviGATE Group Experimental Treatment 1 Intervention

Participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to this study group and will complete the following: * Baseline survey * 1 month survey * 6 month survey * Virtual interview (subset of participants)

Group II: Usual Care Group Active Control 1 Intervention

Participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to this study group and will receive standard oncology care and will complete the following: * Baseline survey * 1 month survey * 6 month survey
