DC-CRRT Trial Summary

This trial will look at whether a new approach to ending CRRT in AKI patients, based on evidence, improves outcomes compared to usual care.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for patients with acute kidney injury who are currently on Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). It's not open to those with chronic kidney disease stage 5, end-stage renal disease, recent RRT treatment, or certain severe conditions like intoxication needing extracorporeal removal.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests if using specific criteria to stop CRRT can improve patient outcomes. Participants will be split into two groups: one follows usual care and the other uses these new guidelines based on factors like urine output and hemodynamic status.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves discontinuing a treatment rather than administering a drug, side effects may include potential complications related to kidney function recovery such as fluid imbalance or changes in electrolyte levels.
