BES2T Trial Summary
This trial looks at how well ultrasounds can measure heart function for better diagnosis & treatment.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for healthy adults or emergency department patients who might already need a heart ultrasound. They must be over 18 and able to agree to the study themselves. It's not for pregnant women, children under 18, prisoners, those with past heart surgery, or if they can't get a clear ultrasound image of certain heart parts.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is looking at how well emergency medicine residents can use an ultrasound to estimate how the heart works compared to standard care. The goal is to see if these ultrasounds could help in quick assessments during emergencies.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves non-invasive ultrasounds similar to routine medical exams and does not involve drugs or invasive procedures, there are typically no side effects associated with it.
