Study Summary

This trial tests how a behavior program with stroke patients & caregivers helps them stay physically active through enjoyable activities. Pairs complete assessments, wear trackers, have 12 OT sessions & an interview.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 who had a stroke at least 6 months ago, spend most of their day sitting or aren't very active, can move around at home (with aid if needed), and have a caregiver willing to join them in the study.Check my eligibility

The duoABLE program is being tested. It includes people with stroke and their caregivers working together through assessments, wearing activity trackers, attending sessions with an occupational therapist, and participating in an interview.See study design

Stroke participant-caregiver duos (dyads) will meet with an occupational therapist 12 times (2x/week for 6 weeks, approximately 30 minutes/session) to apply activity monitoring, activity scheduling, collaborative problem solving, self-assessment, and social interdependence to self-selected activities that aim to increase both dyad members' physical activity levels
