Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any restrictions to participating in this clinical experiment?
"For this medical trial, 28 individuals aged 18-80 who have experienced stroke within the last year are being recruited. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate adequate cognitive function (MMSE score >17), be able to walk 10m without assistance, consent to randomization into one of two groups, and follow a three step command while seated unaided for 30 seconds."
Is this experiment currently recruiting participants?
"According to data hosted on clinicaltrials.gov, the trial posted on June 30th 2021 is not presently seeking patients. Nonetheless, there are more than 1000 other medical trials actively recruiting at this time."
What goals is this trial attempting to achieve?
"This clinical trial, which entails two months of remotely-administered training, intends to measure the Honda Training Experience Survey. The secondary aims involve quantifying passive range of motion in joints such as hips and ankles with PROM testing, gait analysis that considers walking speed without and with an HWA device using GAITrite®, and FGA (Functional Gait Assessment) assessing balance while ambulating backwards or on a narrow base of support -- all scored up to 30 points for minimal detectable change among chronic stroke patients."
Does this study include elderly patients among its participants?
"This clinical trial is exclusive to those within the age range of 18 and 80. Alternatively, there are 38 trials available for participants below legal adulthood, while 1006 cater towards individuals above retirement age."
