VAST-rehab Trial Summary

This trial seeks to see if stroke patients can get rehab at home with virtual visits and education.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for individuals who have had a stroke and are recommended for rehabilitation. They must understand verbal commands, be able to use the internet, and have been relatively independent before their stroke (mRS less than 3). A CT or MRI must confirm their stroke. People with significant functional impairments from other diseases or conditions that could limit safe participation are not eligible.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The VAST-rehab study is testing a program where patients recovering from a stroke get virtual education and support to do rehabilitation exercises at home. It's checking if this online method can effectively engage patients in their recovery process.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves telerehabilitation, there aren't typical medication side effects; however, participants may experience discomfort or fatigue related to physical therapy exercises. Technical issues with internet access might also affect the rehab process.
