- You have had a stroke in the basal ganglia or cerebellum.You need to have a good score on a test to show that you can understand and follow instructions.You have had a stroke on both sides of your brain.You are completely unable to move.You have pain or stiffness in your arm that makes it hard to do the tasks or follow instructions.You have been diagnosed with a stroke on one side of your body.You need to be able to reach a certain distance without any help and while keeping your body still.You do not show any signs of hemispatial neglect as tested by a line bisection test.
- Group 1: Perceptual cuing
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.

"This trial is seeking 70 stroke patients aged 21 to 80. Candidates must be able to extend their arm along a diagonal axis at least 80% of its length while supported on an immobile surface and with limited trunk movement, possess a minimum Mini-Mental scale score of 26 or higher, OR have achieved a level 4 or above in the auditory verbal comprehension portion of the Western Aphasia Battery as evidence of adequate understanding and command following ability."
