Study Summary

This trial looks at how stories affect people's desire to buy cigarettes and if they switch to other products instead.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for smokers over 21 who have been consistently smoking at least 10 high-ventilated cigarettes daily for the past three months and are willing to try different cigarette types. It's not for those planning to move, with serious health issues, on tobacco cessation meds, or intending to quit smoking soon.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study examines how stories affect smoker choices between low and high ventilated cigarettes when prices change. Participants will experience various scenarios in an Experimental Tobacco Marketplace including price increases and using different ventilation level cigarettes.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves smoking cigarettes of varying ventilation levels rather than a medical intervention, traditional side effects aren't listed. However, all forms of cigarette smoke can increase the risk of lung diseases, cancer, heart conditions and other health issues.
