Dual attending for Scoliosis
Study Summary
This trial sought to compare the cost-effectiveness of having two attending spine surgeons instead of one for complex adult spine deformity surgery. The study found that having two attending spine surgeons decreases downstream costs compared to a single spine attending, and that the TDABC method is a more accurate way to measure the cost of the surgery than traditional accounting methods.
