Study Summary

This trial is testing a new behavioral intervention, social cognition interaction training (SCIT), to see if it can improve social cognition in people with schizophrenia. SCIT involves 20-24 sessions of group training. The trial will compare people who receive SCIT to a control group who do not receive the intervention. Assessments of symptoms, social cognition, basic cognition, and community function will be conducted before and after the intervention to see if SCIT is effective.
