Study Summary
This trial will evaluate the effectiveness of an online program to help parents at-risk for relationship difficulties with their children, to improve parent-child bond and reduce parental stress and depression.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for parents with children aged 0-3 who are mainly responsible for their care. It's especially aimed at those at risk of parent-child relationship issues, such as first-time caregivers, socially isolated, low education level, single caregiving, or those lacking confidence or facing depression risks.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests the Make the Connection® Online Program to see if it improves relationships between caregivers and young children. Participants will either use the program over 8 weeks or be on a waitlist. The effects on caregiver stress, self-competence, depression and child emotion regulation are measured before and after.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this is an online educational program rather than a medical treatment, traditional physical side effects aren't expected. However, participants may experience emotional discomfort when discussing personal topics related to parenting challenges.
