Study Summary

This trial is testing whether an abbreviated, group-based GenPMTO program, which can be delivered in PC waiting rooms with the help of lay personnel, is feasible and acceptable to parents. The investigators also want to test whether this abbreviated program leads to improvements in parenting and reductions in children's behavioral problems.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for primary caregivers of children aged 3-5 who speak English or Spanish. It includes primary care personnel and therapists eligible for insurance reimbursement. Participants must be able to engage in focus groups, but those with certain unspecified conditions may not qualify.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests an online parenting program called GenPMTO designed to prevent behavioral issues in children by training parents through eHealth tools, improving referral processes, and providing resources education.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this is a non-medical intervention focusing on communication skills and educational resources, traditional physical side effects are not applicable. However, participants may experience stress or emotional discomfort during the learning process.

Answered by AI

Are any individuals currently being accepted to participate in this research?

"The clinical trial in question is no longer searching for participants, as indicated on the official page hosted by clinicaltrials.gov. First posted on February 21st 2022 and last updated on July 27th 2022, 247 other trials are currently looking to recruit patients."

Answered by AI

What are the aims of this research endeavor?

"The primary indicator of success for this trial, which is evaluated over 8 weeks, is change in Alabama Parenting Questionnaire scores. Secondary objectives include the Acceptability and Feasibility of Intervention Measure administered to parents at the end of their intervention window (8 week separation) and providers/therapists before/after the pilot year (1 year separation). Additionally Readiness to Change - Patient Preferences Subscale Score will also be measured on a 1-5 scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree with an additional not applicable option. High scores indicate greater acceptability and are reported by providers & therapists before and after one full year post-trial."

Answered by AI

Could I potentially partake in this experiment?

"Potential participants must possess guardianship and fall between the age range of 16 and 100 if they hope to be included in this trial, for which 146 patients are required."
