Study Summary

This trial will test the feasibility and acceptability of a mobile app with automated assessment, treatment guidance, and in-app evidence-based treatment support for depression, PTSD, sleep difficulties, and anxiety among underserved patients with trauma histories in an integrated primary care setting.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults aged 19 or older who are being referred to a behavioral health provider and own a smartphone. They must have experienced significant childhood trauma, indicated by scoring at least 3 on the Adverse Childhood Experience screening. It's not for those under 19, with past year referrals to behavioral health, without a smartphone, low trauma scores, neurocognitive conditions, or high suicidality.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The BounceBack Now (BBN) mobile app is being tested for its ability to help manage depression, PTSD, sleep difficulties, and anxiety in patients with trauma histories. The study will develop educational materials and assess the app's feasibility and acceptability in an integrated primary care setting among underserved populations.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since BBN is a mental health mobile app focused on self-help treatment guidance rather than medication or invasive therapy, it may not have traditional side effects but could potentially lead to emotional discomfort or distress as individuals engage with their traumatic experiences during use.
