- You have a condition in your brain that is not Parkinson's disease or essential tremor, or you have had a stroke.You have been diagnosed with severe memory and thinking problems by a doctor.You do not speak English well enough to do cognitive testing.You are currently misusing alcohol or drugs.You have trouble hearing or seeing, which would make it hard to do the tests for thinking and senses.You are between 40 and 80 years old.You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease or essential tremor for at least 4 years.You have had deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery in a specific area of the brain at least 3 months ago.
- Group 1: ET with DBS off
- Group 2: PD with DBS on
- Group 3: ET with DBS on
- Group 4: PD with DBS off
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
