Who is the study for?
Adults aged 25-74 with a BMI of 25 or higher can join this study. They must be able to deliver stool samples quickly after going to the bathroom and have good vision (with glasses if needed). People with avocado allergies, food intolerances, recent mothers, those on certain medications for cholesterol or blood sugar, or with specific past surgeries or diseases like liver issues and diabetes cannot participate.Check my eligibility

Participants will eat meals provided by the study that include avocados for three periods lasting four weeks each. Group I: AvocadoExperimental Treatment1 Intervention
The experimental treatment will contain an avocado. Avocados will be consumed daily for 4 weeks.
Group II: Fiber + OilActive Control1 Intervention
The active comparator will have a snack that mimics the fiber and fatty acid composition found in avocados and will be consumed daily for 4 weeks.
Group III: Standard American DietPlacebo Group1 Intervention
The sham comparator contains foods and beverages of a standard American diet and will be consumed daily for 4 weeks.
