Frequently Asked Questions
What is the desired outcome of this medical research endeavor?
"The objective of this trial is to assess changes from baseline endocannabinoid and oxylipin levels after 8 weeks. Secondary outcomes include measuring plasma brain-derived neurotrophic factor, analyzing expression of endocannabioid receptors on peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and examining white matter connectivity/efficiency in the brain via diffusion tensor imaging. Blood collection will involve a Leucosep tube with Ficoll-Paque while DTI images are obtained using echo planar imaging at 60 directions with b-value 1000s/mm2."
Is this research endeavor open to recruitment at present?
"As per information on clinicaltrials.gov, recruitment for this trial has been suspended. Initially posted in September 2019 and last updated in late 2022, it is not at present soliciting patients; however, there are 694 other trials actively recruiting right now."
