"This medical study will observe changes in physical activity levels and knee osteoarthritis knowledge, as well as measure the patient's perceived need for surgery and symptom management strategies. The Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE) is used to evaluate physical activity and scores range from 0-400, while Knee Osteoarthritis Knowledge Scale (KAKS) assesses understanding of this condition with a score ranging 11-55. Patients are asked about their predicted likelihood of needing knee replacement surgery on a 5 point Likert scale, then given multiple choice options regarding how they manage symptoms."
