This trial looks at 4 ways to cut down on dental aerosol (germ) spread during orthodontic work.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for patients undergoing orthodontic debonding who agree to provide saliva and nasal samples. It's not suitable for those allergic to Povidone-Iodine or Chlorhexidine, or anyone unwilling to participate.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests four methods aimed at reducing bioaerosol spread in dental clinics: Chlorhexidine mouthwash, Povidone-Iodine, high volume evacuator tools alone or with a saliva ejector, and local exhaust systems.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Potential side effects may include reactions to the mouthwashes used such as taste alteration, staining of teeth, or irritation inside the mouth. Equipment like evacuators might cause discomfort.
