What is the purpose of this trial?

The purpose of this research is to investigate whether enhancing systemic lymphatic drainage improves glymphatic function in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

This trial is for people aged 50 or older with obstructive sleep apnea who have been using CPAP therapy successfully and consistently for at least 6 months. Participants must be willing to use an automated lymphatic drainage device nightly for a month and do home sleep monitoring. They should also be on stable medication regimens for other health issues.

Inclusion Criteria

My current medication for other health issues has been stable for 3 months.
I have been using CPAP therapy consistently for at least 6 months.
I am willing to use a lymphatic drainage device and monitor my sleep at home for a month.

Timeline for a Trial Participant

Screening

Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial

2-4 weeks

Treatment

Participants undergo nightly Automated Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (AMLDT) for one month

4 weeks
Home-based intervention with ambulatory sleep tracking

Follow-up

Participants are monitored for changes in sleep architecture and serum biomarkers

Trial Overview
