Study Summary

This trial is testing whether an electronic decision aid can help people choose a multi-gene panel for cancer without the help of a genetic counselor. If it does, it will be asked participants' opinions on the decision aid.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 years old who have been diagnosed with a malignant ovarian tumor or pancreatic adenocarcinoma. It's not suitable for those unable to complete surveys, children under 18, or anyone who has already had germline genetic testing.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is examining the use of an electronic decision aid designed to help patients choose a multi-gene panel in consultation with their oncologist, potentially without needing a genetic counselor. Participants will evaluate the tool and make decisions about their genetic testing options.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves completing surveys and using a decision aid rather than taking medication or undergoing medical procedures, there are no direct physical side effects associated with participating.
