Study Summary

This trial compares two LASIK treatments to reduce short-sightedness in a study of patients' left and right eyes.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for people aged 22 to 59 with healthy eyes, who are nearsighted (between -1.00 and -9.00 diopters) and have astigmatism up to 3.00 diopters. Participants should not have autoimmune diseases, thin corneas, keratoconus signs, or be pregnant/nursing. Their eyes must have similar levels of nearsightedness and astigmatism.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study compares two types of LASIK surgery for correcting near-sightedness: wavefront-guided versus topography-guided LASIK. Each participant's eyes will receive different treatments in a randomized manner to assess outcomes.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Potential side effects from both types of LASIK may include discomfort or pain after the procedure, light sensitivity, glare, halos around lights at night time, dry eyes, blurry vision or visual disturbances.
