Who is running the clinical trial?

- Veterans between the ages of 60 and 95 who have experienced musculoskeletal pain for at least 3 months. The pain should be in areas such as the back, neck, legs, pelvis, jaw, or head.You will be excluded from the study if you have certain conditions or situations that can affect your ability to participate or that may interfere with the study results. These include having specific types of pain (e.g., osteoarthritis, autoimmune disease, cancer pain, etc.), uncontrolled severe psychiatric disorders, substantial cognitive impairment, active alcohol or substance use disorder, ongoing pain-related litigation, recent or current pain-related psychotherapy, difficulty with English fluency, or planning to move away in the next 6 months.
- Group 1: Cognitive Behavior Therapy
- Group 2: Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
