Pan Can Trial Summary

This trial is studying screening methods to see how well they find lung cancer early in current or former smokers.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for current or former smokers who quit less than 15 years ago and have at least a 1% risk of getting lung cancer within the next year. They should be relatively healthy, not pregnant, and able to undergo a spiral chest CT scan. People with severe heart disease, respiratory failure, bleeding disorders, certain medication use or those who've had specific cancers treated over 5 years ago can't join.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is looking into how effective different screening methods are in detecting lung cancer early among people who smoke or used to smoke. It involves undergoing a spiral chest CT scan to find signs of lung cancer sooner when it might be easier to treat.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial focuses on screening methods like the spiral chest CT scan rather than treatment drugs, side effects may include discomfort during the procedure and exposure to radiation from the CT scan.
