- You have fluid buildup in your abdomen (belly).You currently drink a lot of alcohol.You have a pacemaker or defibrillator implanted.You have received a liver transplant in the past.You have a scheduled upper endoscopy procedure to check for varices (enlarged blood vessels in the esophagus or stomach).

- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
