Study Summary

This trial will compare acupuncture and chiropractor therapy to reduce anxiety and depression in HIV/AIDS patients in Los Angeles. 30 patients will be divided into two groups and screened with 3 tests.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for HIV/AIDS patients experiencing anxiety and depression. Participants must not be receiving both acupuncture and chiropractic treatments simultaneously, but can only be part of one treatment group.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study compares two therapies: acupuncture and chiropractor group therapy, to see which is better at reducing anxiety and depression in HIV/AIDS patients. Each therapy will have 15 participants, with effectiveness measured by established mental health scales.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Acupuncture may cause minor bruising or bleeding at needle sites, dizziness or fainting. Chiropractic adjustments might lead to temporary discomfort, headaches, or tiredness post-treatment.
