Study Summary

This trial aims to see if text message reminders can help patients follow their preventive care plans.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adult patients of UCLA Health's DOM Primary Care with overdue health maintenance measures, active MyChart status, and can receive SMS messages. They must have a July birthday and not opened the My Action Plan letter within 7 days. Excluded are those under 18, deceased or in hospice care, or who opt out of electronic communication.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests if text message reminders about preventive care can increase patient engagement with primary care services at UCLA Health. It compares different types of persuasive texts: anecdotes with and without links to more information, and persuasion based on research findings.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves non-medical interventions (text message reminders), there are no direct physical side effects associated with traditional clinical trials that test drugs or medical procedures.
