Study Summary
This trial will examine the effect of time restricted eating (TRE) combined with either resistance training or aerobic training on body weight, body composition, metabolic disease risk, and cognition in adults over age 50.

- I am taking medication to manage my weight or blood sugar.My BMI is between 30 and 50.I am mostly inactive or lightly active, walking less than 7,500 steps a day.My blood sugar levels indicate I have pre-diabetes.You can't accurately tell the study team about what you eat or how active you are.I cannot exercise for 40-60 minutes 3-4 days a week due to mobility issues.You have a history of eating disorders.I have a condition affecting my thinking, such as a brain injury or major psychiatric disorder.I am between 50 and 85 years old.I have been diagnosed with diabetes based on my blood sugar or HbA1c levels.People who smoke.You have gained or lost more than 4 kilograms (about 9 pounds) in the past 3 months.People who work night shifts or irregular hours.
- Group 1: TRE+RT
- Group 2: TRE+AT
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
