Study Summary

This trial aims to compare the effects of a home exercise program that combines hip activation and core stabilization training with a program that focuses only on hip activation training. The study will look at how these programs affect

Who is the study for?
This trial is for first or second-year Doctor of Physical Therapy students over 21 at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport. They shouldn't be in other trials, have recent back pain, be pregnant, or have current leg issues affecting their ability to do certain exercises.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests if adding core stabilization exercises to hip activation home workouts improves lower limb mechanics compared to just hip activation. It measures outcomes like step-down test performance, knee movement during walking, and muscle activity.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since the interventions are exercise programs focused on hip and core strength, side effects may include typical workout-related discomfort such as muscle soreness or fatigue.
