Study Summary
This trial will compare the effectiveness of virtual culinary medicine classes to standard of care medical nutrition visits to see if culinary medicine can help improve glycemic control in patients with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes.

- Your average blood sugar level (Hemoglobin A1C) has been higher than 7.5% in the last six months.You have had Type 2 diabetes for more than 12 months.You have severe chronic kidney disease (stage 4 or 5) or are on dialysis.You are unable to hear instructions given in person or online.
- Group 1: Culinary Medicine
- Group 2: Nutrition Education
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
