Study Summary

This trial looks at the effectiveness of an online CR platform to engage patients in CR while remaining safe. The platform provides remote access, digital tools, and feedback between patients and experts.

Who is the study for?
Adults aged 45 or older with heart conditions like angina, coronary artery disease, or a recent heart attack who've been referred to cardiac rehab (CR) can join. They must be able to walk, stable under medical care, and at low-to-moderate risk of exercise-related heart problems. Excluded are those severely overweight, recently hospitalized, unable to use smartphones/tablets for the program, without WIFI/email access, or have hearing/sight issues that prevent following instructions.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing the RecoveryPlus platform for cardiac telerehabilitation (CTR). It aims to see if this digital tool helps patients engage more in CR exercises from home compared to traditional in-person sessions. The trial will monitor how well participants start and stick with their exercise programs using this technology.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves an exercise program delivered through a digital platform rather than medication or invasive procedures, side effects may include typical risks associated with physical activity such as muscle soreness or strain but should otherwise be minimal.
