Why did patients apply to this trial?

Last year I couldn't go to work. I worked 1 day a week. My hours were 4 am to noon. Starting January 2022, I would wake up and get ready for work and at 3 am, I would be curled up in my bathroom, shaking. I would call into work. In April 2022, at my yearly exam, Dr. Larson referred me to a therapist. I have been working on my mental illness ever since. I applied for Social Security Disability. Last week they called me and left a messaged. They asked me 2 questions, asking me which one had cause me not able to work or not, Depression or my Head Injury. Up to that day, I always thought my depression had just kicked in. Didn't think of my head injury might be the issue.
