Study Summary

This trial will test whether a patient-centered, tailored message intervention delivered via virtual technology can increase colorectal cancer screening among racial/ethnic minority and rural patients.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for racial/ethnic minority and rural patients who need colorectal cancer screening. Participants must be able to read English or Spanish at an eighth-grade level, have email or text access, and agree to follow-up contacts. They should not remember completing any CRC screening within the last 10 years for colonoscopy or last year for stool tests.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing how effective personalized messages delivered through virtual technology are in encouraging people to get screened for colorectal cancer according to guidelines. It compares two levels of message tailoring: highly tailored vs minimally tailored.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves communication interventions rather than medical treatments, there are no direct physical side effects expected from participating in the study.
