ESTIMATE Trial Summary

This trial will teach trainees to estimate size of polyps in GI (Gastroenterology) using a video module + feedback. Outcome measures include accuracy of size and confidence level in classifying polyps.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for GI trainees who haven't had formal training or research experience in estimating polyp size. They must be willing to give informed consent to participate.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The ESTIMATE online module is being tested on its ability to teach GI trainees how to classify polyp sizes using a snare. Trainees will be randomly placed into groups with different combinations of video instruction and feedback, then assessed on their accuracy.See study design

Secondary outcome measures
Cumulative accuracy of polyp size category classification as participants progress through the 40 item polyp sizing test
Participant entered rate of accurate polyp size by millimeter on 40 question polyp sizing test.
Participant report of categorical high versus low confidence on each response of the 40 item polyp sizing test
