3X Trial Summary

This trial will study how different intensities of exercise affect gene expression in skeletal muscle cells.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for healthy adults aged 18-40 with a BMI of 20-30 who regularly exercise at moderate to vigorous intensity. Women participants should have regular menstrual cycles and not be pregnant or breastfeeding. Smokers, those with recent weight fluctuations, cardiovascular or metabolic diseases, or on certain medications are excluded.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is examining how skeletal muscle and fat tissue respond to different exercise intensities: low, moderate, and high-intensity interval exercises. It aims to understand changes in gene expression and chromatin accessibility in these tissues after acute exercise sessions.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since the interventions involve physical exercise of varying intensities, potential side effects may include typical post-exercise symptoms such as muscle soreness, fatigue, shortness of breath during activity, and increased heart rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

These questions and answers are submitted by anonymous patients, and have not been verified by our internal team.

Are there any vacancies for trial participants?

"As of the time of writing, this medical study is still recruiting. It was initially posted on December 13th 2021 and was last modified on May 6th 2022 according to clinicialtrials.gov."

Answered by AI

Would I be eligible to register for this investigation?

"For this study, 45 individuals aged 18-40 are requested who already present cellular responses in skeletal muscle due to varied levels of exercise. Furthermore, applicants must have a BMI ranging from 20-30 kg/m2 and regularly commit to aerobic activity for 30-60 minutes at least 3 times per week. Additionally, willing participants can opt into the Michigan Genomics Initiative Repository (MGI). Women need to confirm that their menstrual cycle is regular and premenopausal."

Answered by AI

What is the cohort size for this clinical trial?

"Indeed, clinicaltrials.gov data indicates that this medical study is actively looking for participants to enroll with the trial first posted on December 13th 2021 and most recently revised on May 6th 2022. At present, 45 patients are needed from a single facility."

Answered by AI

Does this investigation accept volunteers of a certain age or younger?

"This research initiative is seeking volunteers between the age of majority and 40 to participate in their trial."
