This trial aims to study how kids with cerebral palsy ages 6-12 benefit from a home exercise program with or without tracking feedback.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for children with cerebral palsy aged 6-12, GMFCS Levels I-II. Eligible participants must be under the care of a physiotherapist registered in Ontario with at least one year of pediatric experience and who has approval to use the Bootle Boot Camp app.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests a home exercise program called Bootle Boot Camp, designed for kids with cerebral palsy. It compares two versions: one with a virtual coach named Botley that provides movement-tracking feedback and another without it.See study design

Eligibility Criteria:
This trial includes the following eligibility criteria:- I do not have any major health issues that would prevent me from safely participating.I have seizures or skin reactions triggered by screens or flashing lights.I am not currently undergoing physiotherapy more than once every two months.I have cerebral palsy and can walk without limitations or with some limitations.I have at least one goal for improving my lower limb.I haven't had major medical treatments like casting or surgery in the last 6 weeks.I haven't had Botox in 6 weeks or orthopedic surgery in 6 months.I have worked in pediatric care for at least 1 year.I work with children aged 6-12 with mild to moderate cerebral palsy.I can do 4 weekly exercise sessions for 6 weeks.I am between 6 and 12 years old.My vision and hearing are normal, or corrected to be normal.I have medical appointments or treatments scheduled on more than 3 days a week.

This trial has the following groups:- Group 1: Bootle Boot Camp with movement tracking feedback (virtual Coach Botley present)
- Group 2: Bootle Boot Camp without movement tracking feedback (virtual Coach Botley absent)
Awards:
This trial has 1 awards, including:- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
