Who is the study for?
This trial is for older adults over 65 with cardiovascular disease who have had a heart attack, stable angina, cardiac surgery, or heart failure in the past year. They should have finished a cardiac rehab program recently and be able to do yoga without other major health issues interfering.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests if gentle yoga can improve physical functions like balance and muscle strength, as well as reduce depressive symptoms and anxiety in older cardiac patients. Participants will attend yoga sessions twice weekly for three months.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Yoga is generally safe but may include risks of muscle strains or falls for some individuals. It's important that participants communicate any discomfort they experience during the practice.
